Lip lift (shortening of the human midsection)

During the actual surgery, a portion of the skin under the nose is removed and the upper lip is raised. This shortens the midsection and improves the overall balance of the face. It also improves the shape of the upper lip, creating a more youthful, natural-looking smile.

Lip lift is performed under local anesthesia and takes approximately one hour. Postoperative swelling and pain vary from person to person, but usually subside within one to two weeks. Postoperative scars will become less noticeable over time if the surgery is performed properly.
