Several major types of thread lifts in aesthetic medicine exist. Each has a specific purpose and effect, and different types of threads and techniques are used. The thread lifts used in our clinic are described below.

Even after the threads are absorbed, the lifting lasts for two to three years, so the effect can be maintained for a long period of time.

After lift treatment, some patients may experience swelling and discomfort, especially pulling of facial muscles, which is rare. In some cases, internal bleeding or hyperpigmentation at the threads or anesthetic injection site may also occur. Furthermore, infection is a possible side effect.

These symptoms usually improve spontaneously within a few weeks, but pulls and indentations can take months and should be discussed with your physician.

(1) Counseling

The first step is a free consultation. At this point, we will discuss your cosmetic ideals, concerns, and health conditions, and a treatment plan will be developed. We will also explain side effects and risks.

(2) Explanation of treatment flow, fees, etc.

Explanation of the treatment process and fees will be provided.

(iii) Pre-treatment

The treatment area is cleaned and a local anesthetic cream is applied to reduce micro-irritation for insertion of the threads.

(4) Marking

Next, markings are made on the treatment area to serve as guidelines for accurate insertion of the threads.

(5) Insertion of thread lift

A thread is inserted under the skin using a medical needle or cannula. The threads pass smoothly through the skin and are pulled up in a specific direction, lifting the skin.

(6) Fixing and adjusting threads

The inserted threads are fixed in the proper position and adjusted for a more lifting effect.

Cutting of (7) threads

Finally, the portion of the thread protruding from the skin is cut. The remaining portion of the thread remains in the skin and is absorbed naturally over time.

8) Aftercare

After the procedure, we will provide aftercare to reduce swelling and pain. We will also advise you on appropriate aftercare details and, if necessary, schedule follow-up appointments together.

 

 

Is the lift painful?

The lift is performed under local anesthesia and the procedure itself is virtually painless. Many patients may still experience mild discomfort and swelling after the procedure, but this usually resolves spontaneously within a few days.

When will I see the effects of the lift?

Lifting effects are often immediate, and the lifting effect can be felt immediately after the procedure. In addition, skin texture and elasticity may be improved over several months as new collagen is produced during the process of thread absorption in the body.

How long will the lift last?

The duration of the lift effect depends on the patient's skin condition and constitution, and the type of thread used, but is generally considered to be 1-2 years. After that, the effect may last even longer because new collagen production continues.

Can I return to my daily activities immediately after the lift?

Most patients are able to return to their daily activities immediately after the lift procedure; however, swelling and bruising may occur immediately after the procedure, so it may be recommended to temporarily limit activities such as daily living.
