Cosmetic Skin Treatments

Cosmetic concerns are diverse, and skin care has been a part of people's lives for a long period of time, from their teens to their 60s and beyond. To address this wide variety of cosmetic skin concerns, a variety of advanced treatments have been developed and are being practiced.

For example, Lumecca, Collagen Peel, Milanese Peel, Dermapen, and Wellbet Skin, all of these treatments are designed to rejuvenate and beautify the skin. Each treatment stimulates cells on the skin's surface, stimulating collagen production and helping skin turnover. This improves skin elasticity and clarity and restores a youthful appearance.

When choosing these treatments, it is important to fully discuss your skin type, specific concerns, and expected effects with your physician to select the most appropriate treatment. Prior to treatment, a thorough consultation is conducted and planned for each individual patient.

However, even cosmetic skin treatments are not without risks and side effects. Depending on the type of treatment and procedure, temporary side effects such as redness, swelling, itching, and pain may occur.

In addition, infections and skin problems rarely occur due to lack of aftercare or inappropriate treatment. To minimize these risks, adequate counseling before the procedure and proper aftercare after the procedure are essential.

Characteristics of cosmetic skin treatment

Below is a description of the cosmetic dermatology procedures we perform at our clinic.

  • Rumecca:
    Lumecca is a high-performance Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) light therapy machine applied to treat blemishes and vascular lesions. This U.S. FDA-approved treatment improves spots, freckles, and redness, as well as skin texture, by irradiating the face with specific light energy.
    This treatment also promotes the regeneration of collagen fibers and elastin, rejuvenating the skin. Lumecca's treatment provides the desired results in one to three fewer treatments than conventional light therapy, effectively destroying melanin and capillaries, stimulating collagen production, tautening and hydrating the skin, and activating turnover.
  • Collagen peel:
    Unlike conventional chemical peels, the Collagen Peel is a new treatment method that not only removes dead skin cells on the skin surface and normalizes turnover, but also enhances collagen production by penetrating the drug into the deeper layers of the dermis.
    This will help with acne scars on the face as well as wrinkles and sagging of the neck, décolleté, and back of the hands due to aging. Continued treatment every one to two weeks will lift the depressed skin, reduce the appearance of acne scar craters, and improve the skin's firmness, elasticity, and luster. It is also effective in shrinking pores, hyperpigmentation of acne scars, and stretch marks by promoting collagen production.
  • Milan Repeal:
    Milan RePeel is a peeling treatment that combines five different acids: trichloroacetic acid (TCA), lactobionic acid, salicylic acid, tartaric acid, and citric acid, which not only addresses the surface of the skin but also the deeper layers. This treatment removes dead skin cells through the peeling effect of these acids, while the amino acids and vitamins directly stimulate skin cells to increase type III collagen and help produce elastin and hyaluronic acid.
    In addition, it contains moisturizing ingredients such as squalane, vitamins B and C, GABA, and arginine. Although the higher concentration of trichloroacetic acid increases the risk of peeling, Milan RePeel is considered less painful during the procedure due to the nature of the ingredients used. This treatment can be applied to the face, neck, décolleté, and body, and can be used to treat many skin problems, including acne, blemishes, dullness, wrinkles, sagging, dark spots, and dryness, and is recommended for improving skin problems in hidden areas.
  • Dermapen:
    Dermapen is a procedure that uses ultra-fine needles to create microscopic holes on the surface of the skin to improve various skin problems by utilizing the skin's ability to repair itself. This procedure is expected to produce collagen and elastin, restore skin firmness and elasticity, and improve pigmentation, acne scars, open pores and sagging, and fine wrinkles.
    The Dermapen 4 features an ultrafine needle and automatic vibration function that are more advanced than those of previous models, reducing pain during treatment and leaving less scarring. Skin is more vulnerable to damage after treatment, so moisturizing and UV protection are necessary, but skin texture can be improved after a single treatment. The advantages of the dermapen are stimulation of the deeper layers of the skin, less pain, less scarring, and shorter downtime.
  • Velvet skin:
    Velvet Skin is an innovative procedure that combines a dermapen and massage peel to bring firmness and radiance to the skin. The procedure uses a dermapen to create microscopic holes in the skin, followed by the application of PRX-T33, a massage peel beauty agent, which penetrates deep into the skin to dramatically promote collagen production.
    PRX-T33 is composed mainly of trichloroacetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and kojic acid, which work in a comprehensive manner to activate fibroblasts and inhibit melanin production. This reduces the risk of inflammation while improving the appearance of blemishes, dullness, acne scars, open pores, dull skin, and wrinkles. Velvet Skin is noted as a procedure that aims to comprehensively improve skin texture through these synergistic effects.
  • Shopping Lift:
    Shopping lift is a type of thread lift from Korea that is effective in treating sagging skin. This procedure, also called "Ultra V-lift," "collagen lift," or "shopping thread lift," involves inserting threads tied to a thin needle into the skin, removing the needle, and leaving the threads under the skin to stimulate and lift the subcutaneous tissue.
    This subcutaneous stimulation promotes collagen production, which is effective in improving sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles, facial lines, and a double chin. The increase in collagen also improves skin texture, pore condition, and skin elasticity, which in turn improves makeup application. Through these wide-ranging effects, the Shopping Lift is gaining attention as a procedure for overall skin health and beauty.
  • Electroporation:
    Electroporation is an anti-aging treatment that uses special electrical pulses to create a temporary cavity on the skin surface to allow active ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin. This procedure is expected to be 20 times more effective than conventional ion implantation, delivering beauty ingredients directly to the skin without the use of needles. As a result, various skin problems such as dull skin, open pores, fine lines and wrinkles, and lack of moisture can be improved, resulting in younger and healthier looking skin.
    This procedure usually requires injections to inject cosmetic ingredients into the skin, but by using electroporation, hydrophilic and macromolecular ingredients can be introduced into the lower dermal layer of the skin without hassle or pain, and while maintaining safety.   • GOURI:
    GOURI is the world's first liquid PCL (polycaprolactone) formulation and is FDA and CE certified for safety. This innovative formulation is injected directly into the skin to reduce wrinkles, stimulate collagen growth, lift, tighten, and effectively improve sagging skin.
    The liquid form of the product has a low risk of side effects, diffuses effectively over a wide area, and has long-lasting effects lasting approximately 6 months to 1 year. It is especially recommended for people in their 40s and beyond, when collagen begins to decline and skin tends to lose its firmness and elasticity. The overall skin texture and volume can be improved to regain a youthful appearance.
